I'm just surprised more people didn't respond to such a narrow-minded
post as Mr. Rubis wrote to the list. To suggest that people who work
with frameworks can't claim experience with something like MVC is as
ridiculous as claiming people who use the Swing can't claim experience
with GUI because they didn't write their own UI framework. As a person
involved with hiring professional developers, I make it a point of keep
people with such views *OUT* of the interview because their unsupported
and incorrect biases would cause many a viable candidate to be
overlooked. And passing over a viable candidate for curmudgeonly biases
is disgusting.
