Last week,. my computer began doing really weird things.
Locking up, becoming very slow, taking forever to log on.
I tried to defrag, but got a message that there were too
many errors on the hard drive to run defrag. So I ran scan
disk. It took all night, because the S@H screen saver would
come on every few minutes, even after I exited and tried to
delete S@H, turn off the screen saver, etc. Eventually,
scan disk was completed and found a whole bunch of errors,
missing Windows files, all kinds of stuff. It said it
repaired all the errors. How nice.
Updated and ran McAfee, but no viruses were found.
Now the computer seems to be running better. I don't know
how my files got this way. Could a virus do all that?
