I'm not sure you know what you are talking about. You certainly make no
sense, other than it is seems to be unrelated to SETI or life among the

GMT is where it's at :-)
But the Americans need to do everything their own way, including misspelling
words like colour, making up their own new "standard" timezone etc - I guess
those are the perks of being a superpower :-)
I prefer saying I'm in GMT+10 than Pacific Time+18. It just seems wrong for
it to be possible to be more than 12 hours ahead of "standard" time. Though
even GMT has a +13 timezone, even though -11 would surely be more
appropriate.
I thought working saturdays is pretty standard though, though the days are
much shorter and the customers more friendly :-)
