Matthijs, and there are a few others that are pretty "active lurkers" if
that's  a word that might be worth considering.

As far as the FreeBSD model. To be honest I wasn't aware of it, but its
almost identical to the Indy model which was worked out over the years. So
absolutely it sounds like a great starting (and maybe finishing point even)

Fine tuning possible if needed according to discussion.
