Actually, source code under a BSD-type license can be used within a GPL
project (as long as the original copyright and BSD license notice continues
to remain). However, it doesn't work the other way around - you can't
incorporate GPL licensed code within a BSD project. I'm not a lawyer, but
that's my understanding.

However, I personally hope that there will be some bi-directional
cooperation and mutual sharing of source code under the projects' respective
licenses. For now, individual developers are free to license their own code
(not anyone else's) under any license they choose. Note, if they contribute
to SharpOS, it must include GPL 4 w/ link exception, and the new BSD for
Cosmos.
