A quick check of the Directory of Chrysler Employees with e-mail addresses
shows there is a Raul Sosa who works for Chrysler at CTC (Headquarters) in
Auburn Hills and his title is listed as International Program Management. I
wonder if he could be the original owner. The Directory doesn't show number
of years of service so I can't use that to determine if he would have been
around then to have had the car.

Subject: SD> Rarity of '92 Shelby/IROC 2.5 Turbo I cars

Hi all. I wanted to post regarding the rareness of the 230 1992 Dodge
Daytona IROC's equipped with the 2.5 Turbo I motor. 148 were built with
stick, 82 built with the automatic three speed. Mine was a former Chrysler
executive car, and it looks like his name was R. Sosa (are you out there
somewhere?). Build date on mine was 12-10-91, and it looks like these cars
wewre built through the end of December to help deplete the supply of 2.5
motors which wouldn't be available in 1993.

I'd like to see posts or hear from people with these cars. Is there a
registry? Many of these cars were Chrsler "lease vehicles" to executives,
than sold to Chrysler dealers for resale. Mine had approximately 25,000
miles when it came to the dealership (Laconia, New Hamphire...Fitzgerald
dealership) for sale.

Also, many people say the cars never existed. Wrong. I have the factory
literature showing that the 3.0 6 cylinder Mitsubishi motor was standard on
the IROC cars. The 2.5 Turbo was a "no cost" option. When ordered, you got
"turbo" decals on the hood, and the "Shelby" decals on front lip of hood and
rear fascia. I'm thinking this was THE LAST Dodge product to roll off the
line with his name on it. At least in the Daytona line.

I've stumbled across a few for sale the past few years. Most have been
wrecked or trashed. Even more interesting...some say they came delivered
with PUMPER wheels instead of NINJA style. Can anyone prove that with a
window sticker or build sheet?

Thanks, Gerry
