I might expect it to actually handle very well. Having had the pleasure 
(tounge in cheek) of owning a Lotus Europa for a couple years, some British 
mid engine cars from the late 70s had  handling potential for mid-engine two 
seaters down pretty damn well. The trick was keeping it running....... Can 
anyone say LUCAS ELECTRONICS?
