My 87 GLHS did that last fall. They quit for no reason. Then a few days later
they were working again. A couple times afterwards they would give me a few
problems, but then seemed to fix themselves. I assumed the electrical
connector got moisture in it and froze or just got corroded. I never did look
at that, but it may be something for you to look at.
Good luck.
Bob

Subject: SD> windshield wipers suddenly quit

I was driving the 1987 GLHS and suddenly my wipers quit, siezed up, and are
stuck upright.

The actuator arm on the steering column will still pump wiper fluid, but the
wipers are just...dead.

any thoughts? like if:

this is a switch problem?

motor problem?

electrical vs mechanical?

I checked all my fuses and easily located connections. they are all good.

Thanks

Rob
