I have an 89 daytona shelby TII/555. My son was having trouble shifting into
5th gear. He said it would pop out and/or it would shift pass the position
where it is suppose to be. This happens every once in a while. I was trying
to adjust the shifter cable and notice that there is no spring on it. Does the
shifter need this item?
