Shimmer provides examples using c# (Shimmer Connect) and java(android). This can be found in the downloads section of our webpage, you will have to sign in first for the links to be revealed. Now I want to develop a gesture recognizer with the EMG. My question is what tools do I need for that? Where should I develop and in what language? In other words what do you recommend? I have visual studio 2012 (C#) and Eclipse for Java (I'm currently installing plugins for android development). I recently had a similar issue with Shimmer3, and found that it had come with an outdated firmware installed. I'm new in this area of hardware and sensors, but I'm starting to work with Shimmer EMGs. I read part of the manuals provided and installed the sensor and needed software. However, when I run the Multi Shimmer Sync although the application detects my sensor (I can see the ID of the EMG) when I click on connect it never successfully connects and stays in idle status.
