Thanks for info, we will try the new build and let you know.  I think
it will be a day or two before I see my student again.

I found the docs for how to build from current source and have done a
build on my Mac (Leopard) and the process worked perfectly.  Haven't
had a chance to try to build from current source on Tiger yet.
