Nested windows appear onscreen the first time they are drawn. Your
code works right on Linux. I'll examine OS X closely. In the
meantime, you may want to read the section "Careful with Fixed
Heights" in the Rules section, just to be sure that's what you want.

Was helping a guy last night who wanted a scrolling log of certain
events (think IM window) that grew up as new things were added to the
bottom when I discovered this. :height and :scroll seemed to be the
correct choice. I would be exceedingly happy to wrong.
