ok, I've got a bit further ... I downloaded ssleay32.dll from this site: http://www.slproweb.com/products/Win32OpenSSL.html (had to download and install a whole bunch of stuff).
then I copied it into the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Shoes folder Now, the first error no longer appears (about missing SSLEAY32.dll) ... and the second message has changed a bit: 14001: This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. - C:/Program Files/Common Files/Shoes/0.r1134/ruby/lib/i386-mswin32/openssl.so Etienne On Wed, Apr 1, 2009 at 11:55 AM, e deleflie <[email protected]> wrote: > All, > > I've just managed to compile shoes from GIT on OSX... but launching > the package on Windows still causes those 2 errors (missing > SSLEAY32.dll and cant find C:/Program Files/Common > Files/Shoes/0.r1134/ruby/lib/i386-mswin32/openssl.so) > > So I thought I'd try and solve them myself ... was wondering if anyone > could help ... > > Firstly, I thought that *.so files were only on unix ... is this correct? ... > > Secondly, does anyone have a copy of SSLEAY32.dll that I could use? > ... and if so, can anyone tell me where to put it? > > Etienne >
