Ok, thanks. I've since gotten most of the specific information I need about tile formats etc. from asking around on the forums and elsewhere. I'll be embarking upon a rewrite of the Retrograph renderer soon; at that time I'll add support for emulating as many of the available Uzebox video modes as I can. The revised VDU should be able to display pretty much anything the Uzebox can, but it's worth being aware there will still be differences in the way you program it. This is partly becuase the Retrograph VDU has 16k of RAM (versus the Uzebox's 4k), but no distinct PROGMEM for tile data. -mental
