I would strongly suggest that you buy Tom Wishon's book on Practical Club 
Fitting.  He is probably the premiere authority on club fitting.  Two club 
maker organizations use his book as a reference for their certification 
exams.  He will tell you more than you can handle about total weight and 
swing weight.  FWIW.
