John, Most grips could be installed with small strips of tape at the butt end. In fact a lot of OEM's do that. I haven't seen any bad grip tape nor heard of any. I am sure there is some, though. Try some on your clubs and see what happens or send a club maker or two a few of the cheapies and see what they say. My guess is grip tape is grip tape, at least that is my experience.
