The Dynamic Gold shaft is weight sorted in each of it's offered flex categories. For each flex there are four or five weight categories, i.e., R100, R200, R300 R400. An R400 is a couple of grams heavier than a R300 which is a couple of grams heavier than a R200, etc. If you were to get a set of tapered shafts for a 3 iron through PW in the R300 flex then all of the shafts should be within one or two grams of each other regardless of the length differences. I think we can thank Ben Hogan for that as that was one of his design parameters that he gave to True Temper in the early days.

While the R400 will be just a tad stiffer than a R300 (by one or two cpm) it will not be stiffer than a S200.

I went through that confusion in my very early days thinking that an X100 would be just a tad stiffer than a S300 but not as stiff as a S400. Boy was I ever wrong.
