I have read the replies to date and have a couple of comments. First of all, if you are building the "normal" set of clubs, and assuming nominal component specs, Ie. same weight shafts and grips, uniformly spaced head weights and club lengths, you don't have many options. If you make the lengths of your wedges the same as the 9 iron, the wedges will increase in SW and lower in frequency. If you increase the SW on the non-wedge clubs the difference will diminish a bit, but there will be a difference. Unless you want to increase the lengths of the wedges, or play around with different shafts, or grind the heads, you will have difficulty lowering the SW of your wedges, in relation to the rest of the set. FWIW.

Reshafting a couple of lob wedges and was interested into the thoughts of those more knowledgeable than I on what the SW of a LW should/could be ?? Should it be the same as the irons, heavier or perhaps lighter ?
Personally my irons are all D4 with the SW and LW D6 but I was thinking perhaps a lighter swingweight for the LW gives the ability to really release the head quickly which is needed in those high popup floaters we all try in vain to hit.
Then again I could have left the acetone bottle open too long and am becoming delusional with over analysis and irrelevant thoughts.
