ShopTalk: Titleist Forged 690CB

Have any of you Shoptalkers had any experience with changing shafts in Titleist Forged 690CB irons? Are the shafts parallel or tapered?  The set I have been asked to change shafts in has Dynamic Gold S300 shafts, original from the factory.  The customer wants them to be a total of 1" over standard length.  The clubs are already 1/2" over standard.  He thinks that 1/2" extensions would make them play "funky".  I don't think so, but as a wise old clubmaker once said, "Give the customer what he wants."    The Titleist website has off-the-rack specifications, but they don't include shaft specifications, head weights, etc.  Any help anyone can give me will be appreciated.   Jim McFerran
