This is something I mentioned a few months ago. A customer came in and actually asked me to pull the head from his driver and reset it 2° closed because he was slicing the ball. It was all I could do to keep from laughing.

What I did was sell him a new grip with a "reminder" bump set so the clubhead would be closed when the club was gripped normally. The problem then of course was that the club became de-lofted as well as closed which in turn could cause even worse slices. However, the guy was happy.

Solution suggested by one of my customers that had the same problem:
Turn the head on the shaft to straighten the ball direction!
I took a shortcut and twisted the grips, removed and realigned the shaft bands.
He has not come back to say "it didn't work" so I guess we found the solution!
Or the end of the playing season arrived?
