If that's the reason, try this:
Easy way to determine the volume of a clubhead.
Placed a 3/4 water fillled part of plastic jug on gram scale, zeroed out container with water...works great!
Since the specific gravity of water is 1, the volume of water displaced is equal to the increase in weight in grams; ie., 1cc = 1 gram. The head must be held down in the water with a piece of shaft inserted into the hosel without touching the walls of the vessel.
Push a 310 cc head down in the water and the scale reads 310 grams!
Much easier to read a number on the digital scale than to find the watermark line on the graduated beaker.
In my highly technically advanced shop the "vessel" is a "bucket" filled about 2/3 to 3/4 full of water and made by cutting off the lower end of a round "clorox" bottle (or similar), the upper portion is a handy funnel.
Thought so!
