Tom - there is actually quite a bit of "concern" about SP2 out there in the profession. Most of my peers are not installing it in their environments yet. Concerns I have seen include some issues with apps not functioning after installation. Personally, I only had a short time of running it. I didn't have the time to look into it further right now. So that part of the situation is my fault.
As is often the case in the business world, the question is "is there a compelling business reason" to update to it? If not, I'll let others "test" it for me and observe reactions to it. Also, we have entire custom apps packages created by a third party. They only "certified" Win2K for them last year. If I install it, and there are any app problems, the first thing they will tell me is to uninstall XP.
I remember all of the problems with NT SP6. Luckily, I saw the initial reaction to it on some sys admin forums, and I waited until SP6a arrived. Saved my employer downtime and money by dragging my feet on it. (of course I was chastised at first for it, and commended later) :-) Such is the life in IT.....

I find it interesting that anyone would have problem with the XP SPII. Other than the long download time, with DSL if took over 45 minutes, I have not seen or experience one glitch. Actually I have picked up speed in transition time between functions. I will admit that I waited three days before I could muster enough courage to hit the Install button.
