Now, if I did my math correctly, boring the hosel and replacing with an aluminium sleeve would save a whopping 0.6 grams of mass (using 2" bore depth). Titelist's explanation sounds like marketing spin to me. Would it be more likely that they were planning on a .350 shaft, then changed their minds after they already had a bunch heads cast (or forged)?

Sounds right to me! I did the math independently and came up with 0.5 grams. Close enough for jazz.
