Bernie,

I don't know whether I am a swinger or hitter, I also don't know anything about the golf swing.

The BOM weight is 194.9 & the Bangenstein weighs 205.4.  Current driver,  Wishon 915CFE 420cc with NV 55S looks a little under D5 @ 46.5.

I don't qualify for a senior just yet and I don't want to, only 52, but I probably qualify for the less flexible part.  I have all your old posts on how one is supposed to square the longer stick but learning how to swing takes too much effort.  I did save em for when I retire to Tennessee (just teasing) and will put them to use then.  I originally thought that I would become a semi-clubmaker and was going to create some flyers with lots of your swing data to put on the car windshields at the golf courses.  Was going to call around to many of the courses and find out when the senior leagues were there and was going to do it during that time.  But I think that most who work in the golf business for a living don't get to play much golf - a big nix to that idea.

I was really surprised when I measured the 3 Graman shafts.  The FL 50 weight is 55.5 and a torque of 6.3 and 46" long. The HL 40's wt. is 62.5, a torque of 4.3, and is 45 and an eighth long.  The heavy CF310, 75.6 grams, torque is in the middle at 5.6 and 46" long.  Certainly not the published torque stats that Graman would put out.

In any case the two Bangs went going on the two FL 50's and are drying as I type (will use lead tape on the bottom to get swingweights up to D5).  I am going to give a Cydonia a try again and put it on a HL 40.  Do you tip for 3 woods?  And have you tried Danny Neu's new alignment - NBP @ 6:00?

Rick,

If you are more a swinger than a hitter, try the FL50 club at 47". If your BOM is 195 or 196 grams (I've had several at 194), swingweight with a 46 gram grip will be about D8. At 46" club length, it'll be about D2. I (and many seniors, or those less flexible) seem to have a better feel for the head position with something over D5. Once I figured out the timing to get the longer club square at impact, and since I can feel the head position in the downswing better a higher swingweight, I can repeat the swing better. If you have an aggressive hitter type swing, the FL50 might be a bit soft for you.

Yes, I'm interested in reports anyone has on any shafts, whether I've tried them or not.
