Can anyone comment on how cameras that do the in-camera-panning-panorama thing do this? What do you actually get off the card? A jpg? How about having shotwell automatically tag images with an aspect ratio greater than a user specifiable parameter (which I suppose should default to just wider/taller than the aspect ratio commonly seen in consumer cameras).

And while I'm thinking about it, is there a method to have shotwell (tag|show only) photos taken with a specific camera? For those of us without eidetic memory it might be easier to find a photo if you know, "well I know I was carrying my compact camera because I left the slr at home". Apologies if I'm distracting the thread.

I don't do panorama's or HDRs for each image,
dont know what you mean here.
I just meant to say that I don't make a HDR or panorama all the time.
Usually, I just take single pictures, so I won't mind grouping them by hand.
