Well, I wasn't clear. I meant play a song through mplayer from the
terminal like so
mplayer -ao alsa:device=bluetooth -msglevel global=6 {name of song}
When you get blips in the connectivity, mplayer will print out some
errors. If you could post them, the messages would be really helpful in
understanding how to make intone more tolerant of the blips.

Did you modprobe uinput? Maybe thats missing. Thanks for your suggestions.
