Wow... I just realized what the error is. There are two "Done" buttons on the directory selection dialog. I was clicking the right one, which is apparently cancel... I clicked the left button and it found all my mp3's
These versions (0.61 and the latest binary) still show all the funky characters on some songs though. I ran the fsck like you suggested, but that found no errors. Also, it segfaults when I try to scroll through the list most of the time now.
