So basically the neo theme is too extreme.
which leads me to thinking that we need a more "classical" theme, but
high contrast is also needed.
i think i may draw a draft in inkscape (implementing a theme would take
abotu a week till its complete.
problem is the higher the contrast, the harder it is to make it
prettier, since gradients kill all the contrast, but using colors that
fit together without gradients also kills contrast.

those who havent tried the neo theme, believe me that usability goes way
up using a faster theme. (one guy obviously got caught up in the moment
after installign teh theme and sent me an email that he can now finally
use his phone as daily phone. if you ask me, the reason for that was
smooth scrolling)

since we are at a point where a new theme will be designed we have the
opportunity to boost usability so i would really liek to encurage you
(primarily those without the needed knowledge to implement a theme) to
post mockups, proof of concept designs etc...
you dont have to keep it extremely simple, just high contrast, but still
nice looking.

i already have something in midn that woudl only take a couple of days
to implement, but the problem is, that is isnt high contrast. (basically
a stripped down faster version of the default illume theme).
i really want to push this, because i love shr and there is finally
something where i can actually contribute and i really want to do this.
i didn't have the skills to help till now.
i do not see myself as a designer, but i can implement the design.
