You can't just replace, as the state files changed format and loaction (read
in the history of this ML more about it)

Please open a ticket about it if there isn't one already. This is not a
trivial change, we'll have do some work to make it work correctly, I was the
one who removed the silent button, it was poorly written, very hackish, and
caused bugs.

So what if it worked for you when configured *incorrectly* in the past, this
is bad, I don't get why you don't just configure it properly.
