There are volume controls on the call screen now. The first time (with a recent
SHR) they come up with useless
defaults, so adjust them. (Call yourself on some other phone, so you can hear
both sides
of the communication. The mic volume decides what the other end hears. Too low
and they won't hear you,
too high and they may get clipping or too much buzz. (If your phone isn't
buzz-fixed.)
The speaker volume decides what you hear, and is easier to get right.

When you have found good settings, terminate the test call and reboot the
phone. The new
improved settings will then be used for all in- and outgoing calls thereafter.

With the other end not hearing you, maybe the mic volume is on 0? That can
happen if your
ear rubs against the touchscreen.

The vibrations that doesn't stop has always happened - occationally. I
experienced it once with
recent shr unstable, there are many months since the last time. So not a big
problem, unless it
happens all the time for you.
