Thanks for the info....I'm getting the per transaction pricing from
them....but since what we are doing is small scale (i.e. ain't gonna make
noone rich) we were trying to come up with something that didn't require
someone else to do the processing for us.
And what would really be cool would be source code so I could see how it
was done. Maybe I'm dreaming.....
The way I set it up in the windoze environment I alluded to was have a
machine with a modem and software installed so we could do the credit card
processing ourselves with an existing merchant account. The web server
then handed off the cc processing to the other machine and waited for a
response. That way we didn't have to pay a third party and for small scale
stuff the time for the cc verification isn't too long even for impatient
users.
