This discussion could go on forever. Don't go to Chipsmart unless you
know exactly what you want and how it works. I've bought lots of stuff
there and have never had a problem. Of course I don't expect the
salespeople to have a clue - I just tell them exactly what I need and they
ring it up for me. Occasionally I ask them what they have in the back,
get the specs and choose something from the list.
Placing an order for stuff not currently available at Chipsmart is simply
an indication of cluelessness on the part of the buyer: Chipsmart sells
what they gots in the back; if they don't gots it in the back, they don't
sells it. It's that simple. Listening to salespeople is a sign of
naivete'; if you have ever even entertained the notion of listening to a
salesperson, then by all means have someone else buy your computer parts
for you - you're not ready yet, grasshopper, until the sounds coming from
the salesperson's mouth are like the murmuring of the wind. :-)
