Today at 7:10pm, Feng Wang expounded:

++ Hi, there:
++
++ I got some problems about dialing telesys with ppp under linux.
++
++ I used kernel 2.2.16 and ppp-2.3.11. I downloaded the linux-ppp-experience
++ by Chris McCraw from SIGLinux website and did some necessary changes.

I think that might be a bit old. I don't know why you are getting a
segfault, but it might be better to use your Linux distribution's ppp
facilities instead of this.

Under any case, pppd should not segfault, so you might want to upgrade
ppp. (What distribution are you using?)

While you are figuring things out, you can try using minicom to connect to
telesys, then leave the connection open and run pppd manually and turn on
verbose error messages.

I think it is ``pppd /dev/modem'' or somesuch, but I don't have ppp on any
of my systems any more.

JEFF: The web site seems to be down.
