Whats gonna happen with SIGLinux is the following...
We're killing the idea of a leader.. thats never worked quite right..
even further, it seems cooperation got us the software we wanted..
why can't it provide the community we need.
5 person council... not like Unix-Linux where
every member is a officer. for one most people won't be wanting to
put that kind of time in... and its a lot harder to stay organized and
put on good events..
Council Members:
--------------------
Me (former president, ACM contact, community/company contact)
Tom Carlile (very active member, web-master..)
Jeff Strunk (interim president, ACM contact)
Patrick Lang (Event cooridnator)
Jason Pepas (newbie/public relations) "Since we supposedly aren't nice to newbies
.. or also known as the most infamous SIGLinux FUD distrubited on campus"
Mind you that those assigned duties aren't really how it should work out
hopefully we'll all share all of the stuff .. and run SIGLinux even
better than its ever been done.
No there aren't elections.. but we may start an election process after
this council meets and sets up the new SIGLinux charter.. etc..
