The dorms seem to have some problems with DHCP under Linux. Mine does
the same thing occasionally, the only thing that seems to be able to fix
it is to reboot my machine. I recall there being some sort of problem
with Linux not releasing/renewing the lease properly (or at least not
the same as Windows) but I'm not sure. It is weird, fortunately mine
hasn't done it recently, and I always get the same IP when I reconnect,
so it's not a problem for me really.
