I’ve started so many books this year that I haven’t been able to finish. Strangely they’re primarily fiction, which I’m going to blame Twitter for taking away my attention span and resolve to fix it through the holidays. Non-fiction recs though:
Recapture the Rapture by Jamie Wheal - a look at a world post religion, what he calls a Meaning Crisis, and whether that leads us into tribalism Another Now by Yanis Varoufakis - told through fiction it’s an imagining of what an alternative to capitalism might look like, ownership, rights, production, etc Because Internet by Gretchen McCulloch - how the internet changes the English language and how wonderful language evolution is to be able to express ideas we may not have had the words for… Cheerio, Ashim D’Silva Product Designer ashimdsilva.com -- Silklist mailing list [email protected] https://mailman.panix.com/listinfo.cgi/silklist
