I second that nomination.

Douglas Adams had a way of not so much destroying the English language,
as staying well within the bounds of it, all the while blowing bits and
chunks out of the superstructure, leaving the  basic edifice standing,
but nonetheless ready to topple at the slightest breeze.  Devastatingly
good writing.
