Reminds me of a popular email forward that kept going rounds. It
goes something like this:

Employee 1: dude, why do you keep reading blogs and doing no real
            work all the time?
Employee 2: What else do you want me to do?
Employee 1: Work!
Employee 2: What do I get by working?
Employee 1: Well, you will get a good annual review and you will
            get a good raise
Employee 2: And then?
Employee 1: You will get promotions!
Employee 2: and then?
Employee 1: You can eventually become a manager!
Employee 2: and then?
Employee 1: You won't have any work to do! you can do all that
you want to do with your time! slack!
Employee 2: Well, that is what I'm doing right now!
