Someone I know, who prides himself on eating anything that has stopped moving, was teaching English in Japan when he got a bowl of glass noodles set in front of him. As he ate, he noticed a few dark dots on the noodles...and then noticed that they were in pairs...on the tip of every glass noodle. Turns out he was eating some sort of worm/small snake. He never got around to asking, and never got around to the next mouthful, either.
