I asked this question on my last trip out and the customs officer
suggested I fill out an export certificate for the current laptop. He
also noted up to three mobile phones were allowed duty free.
Yeah, I've been advised to "register" my laptop while going to the US
too, if I intend to bring an additional one along when I come back.
Most people I've asked say it isn't duty-free, but you can sneak it in
anyway. We'll find out in a couple of weeks ;-)
