I had a Goan friend, Dr. George Coelho of Maryland, who lived and studied in Mumbai in the late 40s and early 50s and he claimed that there were several European Jews who had settled in Mumbai during the last part of the war and a few years after till they went to Israel. Mumbai has certainly seen it all!
