Since the "Indian side" know that the Chinese are up to such things where is
the question of being rattled? I can never understand this. But I see a
whole lot of Indians (in the media and other fora) saying that India will get
rattled by this that or the other. I think that is absurd. If we know it and
know that It is par for the course/business as usual what's this "rattled"
unsettled" business? I don't buy that. Talk to bureaucrats/diplomats and you
find that nobody is "getting rattled".

The Chinese have their "rattle switches" and these include democracy, Tibet,
China, human rights, Taiwan, nuclear issues with India and a whole lot of
other things - and India does things that irritate the Chinese who like to
retaliate in big gestures - as that is their way. India has its ways and the
Chinese know it.
