Do you recall my writing something about fighting fire with fire? Maybe I should have said fighting crap with crap. The rhetoric I was referring to was in Arundotty's article. The interesting thing (to me) about rhetoric is a point I failed to make in my last message. If you use enough rhetoric to make a point any discussion later can often end up trying to tear down rhetorical points rather than facts and that only helps the user of rhetoric. That is precisely why rhetoric has been discarded as a tool from scientific circles. shiv
