Policies I guess... My opinion is that Yahoo engineers have the spam problem solved to the extend Google has, but the higher ups are reluctant to deploy these solutions.
I thought (back when I was using Yahoo mail regularly - upto around 1.5 years ago) that Yahoo's spam detection was excellent. I'm not sure if they have temporarily been out-evolved by the spammers, or if Deepa is an outlier.
