This is in fact a good answer. The problem is what are the droopy ears of Hinduism? I suspect that what is termed as Hinduism is a conglomeration of ideas that include animism. Which brings me right back to the question - what are the characteristics of animism that one could use to identify an animistic belief as Hinduism. This is of course a trick question - but I do not ask in a nasty sense. I am, as usual, probing for impressions and ideas and feelings which I tend to weigh against my own ideas and feelings. shiv
