I live in one of the safest places on this planet. There's absolutely no reason to go police state (unless our rulers are preparing for crisis management when most western economies go broke, and global economy hits rock bottom. Or something equivalent, I don't know, and I don't care that much to know). Things might be different with India, that with extremists, nukes and Pakistan. I'm risk-averse enough to not go there. I'm not risk-averse enough to make a stand for our local rights, that are being eroded at an alarming rate. The first time this lands me in serious trouble I know a) I've been correct b) it's time to to start packing again. I've lived in a totalitarian state, and I have no real wish for a rerun. -- Eugen* Leitl leitl http://leitl.org ______________________________________________________________ ICBM: 48.07100, 11.36820 http://www.ativel.com http://postbiota.org 8B29F6BE: 099D 78BA 2FD3 B014 B08A 7779 75B0 2443 8B29 F6BE
