Ah. LH Y. You'll hate it. But they're as regular as a clock e&oe delhi weather. And exit rows (32 BC / HJ) or the window just behind it - 33A/K, no seat in front thanks to the door .. that's tons of legroom, and as a UA elite you CAN score it.

Yep - but seems to always be taken by the time I get to choose seats at the airport. :(

Did you try the CO / AA / DL ultralonghauls from EWR, ORD, ATL? Might be worth skyteam if you do two or three trips a year to India.

I've tried to keep my travel on Star Alliance to go for those obscene mile numbers rather than have lots of different accounts, plus those flights seem much more expensive and I'm still a cheap bastard; but maybe sanity has a cost too.
