I speak three languages fluently, but the only time when I actually feel
different is when I'm speaking English. Specifically, it depends on how
English is spoken to me. While my cultural position doesn't really change,
my accent does. When talking to Indians, I tend to speak like a typical
TamBram does. But I can do the Midwestern at the drop of a hat, typically
when a similar accent is spoken to me.

I blame my teaching days in the US, when I had to manufacture the accent and
slow myself down when I spoke to students. It's a habit that has stuck, and
frequently amuses my Indian colleagues.
