In New York, jeans in the summer are insanely uncomfortable during the day. They're far too heavy. If I'm not going on business, I tend to wear lightweight khakis, an untucked shirt, and sandals. Sadly, if I have to go out to see a client, I have to wear full-grade Brooks Brothers business armor: pinstripe suit, silk tie, etc. In winter, when the temperature is below freezing, that's fine, but in the summer, say on an August day when it is 103F and 80% humidity, it is a bit less than pleasant. I can't imagine what wearing such an outfit would be like in parts of India where 103F would be cool weather in summertime. I think I'd collapse within minutes. Perry
