The English translation is widely available (in 3 volumes) in Madras. I have seen it in the shelves of Landmark in Bangalore. Even Amazon used to have a version (a "best of") of it: http://www.amazon.com/Best-Samaithu-Paar-S-Meenakshi-Ammal/dp/0670049123/ Thaths -- "I saw this in a movie about a bus that had to SPEED around a city, keeping its SPEED over fifty, and if its SPEED dropped, it would explode. I think it was called, 'The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down'." -- Homer J. Simpson
